To kick off September's National Recovery Month and to honor people in recovery, ETS is organizing an interactive, family-friendly, and community-oriented Hike for Recovery! Building on the momentum from ETS’s signature Roots of Recovery Gala we’re hosting this casual event that will allow us to get outdoors. Friends and family can join you or participate from afar by pledging their support for the mileage you hike.
Routes:
Come join us at May Valley Trail Loop Trailhead! There will be map keepsakes and trail markings (chalk and flag) so you can easily follow a short out-and-back (2 mile) trail, an easy loop trail (4.3 miles, 2hr 15mins), or a longer moderate loop trail (6 miles, 3hr 30mins). You can choose what works best for your schedule and physical ability!
What to Expect:
The event will begin officially at 10 a.m. To help with parking and trail capacity, and to allow people to feel comfortable at their own pace, participants will get three different time slots to sign up to hike.
At the trailhead there will be a registration table where you sign in to pick up your registration packet which includes your Hike for Recovery T-shirt, trail map keepsake, snacks, and water. This may also include a water bottle, depending on your registration fee. At your start time, begin the hike!
Who Should Join?
All are welcome.
